Extension and Alteration of the Teaching Hospital at Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST)
The proposed works shall include the construction of a three-storey structure to match the existing number of floors for the existing building, purposefully designed to work and function as a hospital, with special consideration to all
technical requirement for a Hospital Building to make sure it is accessible by all
groups of people regardless of their physical ability. Ideally, the teaching hospital extension shall be used for the following purposes but not limited to the same, as such the consultant shall do their own research to enhance a functional approach
for the facility.
The floor matrix combination is that one desired by the client as annotated by Ground floor (GF),
First floor (FF) and Second Floor SF). If, however, there is a strong design challenge
to the preferred floor matrix as proposed by the client, the consultant shall liaise
with the client and propose an alternative combination.
